Areas which can be treated with Liposculpture
Abdomen
The abdomen is a problem area for many women, particularly after childbirth. Unwanted accumulations of fat can make clothes difficult to fit and can be persistently annoying. Liposculpture is often extremely helpful in these situations, and skin laxity is rarely a problem after the procedure.
The abdomen can benefit from treatment in women whether it is large or small. Both the upper and lower abdomen can be treated, or lower abdomen alone.
Arms and Shoulders
The upper arms can be made slimmer and with skillful sculpting, restoring the shape that was present in the years gone by. In addition, careful, skilful sculpting will allow the underlying shoulder muscles to be revealed, providing a more athletic look.
Other areas can be treated too, including isolated fatty deposits over the back and bulges below the bra line and under the upper arm.
Calves, Knees and Hips
Often the areas above the hips are also a problem in many women, making the silhouette squarish and full. Either alone, or in combination with the abdomen, it is possible to refine the outline to give a more modern feminine appearance, improving the waist and refining the outline.
Often a combined procedure on the flanks and outer thighs is performed at the same time to refine the outline from top to bottom.
Other areas can be treated too, including isolated areas of fatty deposits over the back and on the upper arm. The calves and thighs themselves are also areas where liposcuplture can be very helpful in achieving the desired shape.
Inner Thighs
Liposculpture can substantially reduce this bulkiness and give a natural curve to the inner thigh at the top, making it round rather than flat. Usually it is possible to prevent the legs from rubbing one another. When Liposculpture is performed on the outer thighs, clothes, particularly jeans that were once tight around the thighs and loose around the waist now can fit perfectly. Shopping may be easier and more fun but more importantly you will look just great.
Knees
A small pad of fatty tissue is often present on the inside of the knee, slightly above where the bone of the knee joint protrudes, though there may be other fatty deposits as well. Liposculpture can remove this bulge, so that the knee now is defined by the bone, rather than the fatty pad above it. It is common to perform liposculpture on more than one area at any one time, and many patients find that combining a refinement to the knee and outer and inner thigh at the same time is a well balanced procedure.
Knees and Ankles
Now patients who have a poor shape or heaviness in the ankles and lower leg, can have the size diminished and their ankles made considerably slimmer. Size reduction is usually not difficult, but its most important that the doctor has the experience and artistic skill to bring out shapliness of the lower leg that’s hidden within you.
Neck
The neck and under the chin can be successfully sculptured to give a more youthful appearance. Of all the areas of the body which can be treated with liposculpture, sometimes the neck can be the most rejuvenating, even when less than 30mls of fatty tissue is removed. The underlying skin firmly attaches to the structures beneath, and just as with other areas of the body, looseness of the skin is very unusual.
Outer Thighs
"Saddle bags" in women are accumulations of fat over the outer thigh. Removing them gets rid of the bulge which you see from looking directly in front or behind. Even though little work is often done to the buttock itself, the buttock crease appears to have been drawn outwards giving a more natural appearance. The change in appearance is often dramatic. |
