Liposculpture - FAQs
Can liposculpture be used to treat people with obesity?
Liposculpture can be used to help people who are significantly overweight to reduce localised problem areas over the abdomen, buttocks and thighs. This may help with the way these overweight people look and feel about themselves. However, to achieve the most optimum results a more complete program is required.
Consequently, for the overweight patient, in addition to the Liposculpture, Ashbrooke Anti-Ageing & Cosmetic Medicine offer several supportive treatment programs. This includes an evaluation of the patients biochemical and metabolic status, along with their body shape. We then develop a protocol that is individualised for each person. This often involves a change in one's eating habits but also relates more to the type and timing of foods rather than the amount of foods eaten. In addition, a basic exercise routine tailored to the individual's medical and cardiovascular status, may be recommended.
At Ashbrooke Anti-Ageing & Cosmetic Medicine, more advanced programs are also available, which involve more sophisticated and comprehensive analysis and testing; dictate which special dietary nutrients and supplementation (possibly prescriptives), along with monitored exercise regime are needed. |
